The Thon Rack 8U Live 45 is a fabulous racking flightcase for any lightweight application. It is built well and stacks well too, and its easy to attach rear rack mounting strips.

If you are wanting to use this case for amps or dimmer racks, you probably should find a stronger case. The composite or lightweight plywood this case is made from is unsuitable for heavy loads or direct attachment of castors.

Also, the paint covering, like all of Thon's case's is very high gloss and a light sanding with 160grit abrasive paper is recommended if you need to spray-paint or stencil on any logos, details etc. I found attaching a touring label plate easy.

Absolutely can't state how fantastic the variable rails are for anyone who doesn't know what they are such as myself when i bought this rack they're rack nuts trapped between two rails, you can slide them up and down the rack as you need rather than having to use predesignated holes and having to fumble about with holding the nut on the other side as you screw units in.

Other than that, it's just as good as any other Thon rack really.

This Rack unit is perfect for holding all my power amps you can get great access from the front and back it's very ridget and durable it's air tight so no moister can get in I would recommend it to anyone
