I changed the stringsavers on my MIJ Tokai Strat, and it now stays in tune better than before, even when using the whammy.
Take care after installation to set up your guitar, so it is in tune, though
The stringsaver saddles are absolutely fantastic! I fitted these to a Mexican Stratocaster kept breaking guitar strings. The guitar also suffered from a very poor sustain. Fitting stringsavers was a doddle, they were a direct replacement for the other saddles and they didn't take up any more room. The smoothness and quality of the saddles is second to none. They do ruin the vintage look of your guitar so I wouldn't recommend them for a custom shop guitar however, for the Mexican Stratocaster I fitted them to, I feel they enhance the look. They also reduce the amount of scratching on my palm from the standard saddles. If you prefer a more classic look I believe Graph tech offer a stainless steel saddle with a String-Saver insert this may offer you the best of both worlds.
Bought this set as replacement for the crappy saddles on my Fender YJM Stratocaster. The 6th and 2nd strings were constantly moving down due to the bad quality of the height screws (or maybe the threads of the saddles). A common issue on Fenders with vintage style bridges btw...
Now the guitar stays perfectly in tune and even sounds better because the tone was too "clinky" with the factory ones.
And finally, no more annoying screws rubbing my hand when palm muting.
Easy installation on a vintage strat clone - fit was right on. Had to work on the saddle slots a little to get a perfect sit, but nothing unexpected. Good tone - softer than the original steel saddles, but with warmer highs and seemingly more low-end.
