The strings are far from what I expect from a set that uses .046 at the bottom end.
Compared to my favorite strings, GHS Thick Core Boomers (Why doesn't Thomann sell those?), they lack in bass response and mid-range.
So I took the set of after 3 days.
They are probably good for something, but can't recommend the Power Brights for metal neither for clean ballad passages.
Just the best strings for the electric I have ever used. I have tried everything else and held off trying Thomastik because of the cost, but they are worth it. The brass coated plain strings are great for not corroding and last a long time. The strings keep there fresh sound for a while and I find they last a good bit longer than other strings I have tried.
Very nice bright sound with great bite and attack. Pinched harmonics pop out and the nine to forty six mix is great. Nice easy bending on the plain strings and nice heavy sound on the wound strings. Great quality as well.
I restrung all my guitars last year and went to Russia, where I spent 7 months. Came back, took guitars out of hard cases and they play like new. Should I even say anything else?
I use the strings on my PRS SE Standard 24, scale 25 inches, E standard tuning.
I very like tension on the third string comparing to ordinary 9-42 strings sets.
Bolder top strings give you great distorted sound. Also sound doesn't gone quickly.
Pros:
Great tension, sound doesn't change for a long time.
