OK...sit back and listen !!
When this arrived and I opened the box I though oh s..t !! I've bought a load of rubbish. It's thin and light weight and never going to work but how wrong I was.
I purchased 2 of MTS-248-MS with this. One to use the desk end and one to butcher to service my splits panel. So I set to work and started to disassemble one of the snakes and that's were I got my biggest shock. Contrary to the info on the relevant page and contrary to the info I gained by emailing one of the techies at Thomann this cable has individual screening and each pair and its drain lead are wrapped in foil as you might find on a more expensive system. I was totally shocked. OK so all the earths are joined in the Harting (or cheaper Wain Connector) but so are the more expensive items advertised here.
My only concern is the strength of the individual cables. I think they may need a gentle hand.
All in all very surprised.
Thankyou Thomann.
the cable feels quite good. It was also thinner than most cables of its class. The weight and overall size of the cable is quite impressive I must say. However, the cable seems to be quite delicate at the connectors and was shocked that the sheath was getting exposed from the connector. Well, I was able to untie the tie down, use the insulation table and tie it back again.
