This switch does the job, but it is a bit loud (I mean the acoustic/mechanical sound when pressing and releasing it).
Seems well built and sturdy, I don't use it long enough to be able to comment on durability
While it is a momentary footswitch, it's a not a soft clicker, it makes a very hard click both in feel as in noise wise.
For a tap tempo feature this one would be useless in my opinion.
Product is built well and price is ok
This footswitch feels sturdy however the mechanism is definitely not "soft" but rather needs "hard" pressure to trigger (and is thus also mechanically noisy). Another potential disadvantage (for specific diy builds with small boxes) would be the increased vertical profile compared to other designs, which is due to the positioning of the bottom pins which extend below the switch and not e.g. beside. In this price range I believe there are better alternatives (depending on what you want to build/replace of course).
This is not a soft click momentary switch. I wanted to install it to my expression pedal, Nektar NX-P, as a toe switch however it didn't fit the case. It was too tall. Other than that the quality seems fine. It's a momentary switch with a click. I would not recommend this as a tap tempo switch.
