It fits in my collection beautifully, I have a Cole Clark Angel II grand auditorium and a dreadnaught K. Yairi DY-59 from late 80's in Brazilian rosewood and sitka.
The sound projection is right where I both hoped and expected it to be-- which is the main reason for mentioning how it fits in with my other guitars. It is almost as though my two other guitars have had a baby and that would be the Wee 02. Not to forget I also have a mahogany KoAlana ukulele and shes also a cutie.
Now lets talk build; oh wow!
Amazing attention to detail showing clear signs of being assembled by hand, the wood lines up beautifully and it feels heavy and robust. Beautiful woods (also in looks) they sound wonderful even when new, but I do have further expectations as it gets older and starts to open up even more. And that is almost too good to be true.
I did not arrive FULLY set up, the nut was high so too the saddle which is fine, the action or truss rod setup was great it has certainly left the workshop setup like that (I bought 3rd party from thomann).
But it does have to be setup fully, for example my capo on the first fret distorts the intonation because the nut is so high- so a setup is a must, it will also make it as playable as any highend guitar.
Mine arrived quite dry, frets poking out sideways. I did acclimate it for one day in the house before doing anything and then added a humidifier- no other signs of dryness at all. Quite an invitation to start studying guitar building and theory surrounding it, the luthier world is quite alive on youtube and I have learned so much in the last few days.
Lets talk sound; the sustain is the first thing I noticed I don't think I have ever experienced that before.
Even inactive strings will start to sing when picking softly with the flesh of the thumb- so I actually have to mute non active strings just because they start singing as if, more and more, on their own-- just wow!
It has amazing over-tones and finds harmonies seemingly out of thin air, highly responsive and perhaps even demanding for those of keen ear- to put out earnest effort. Because it deliveres more than anyone would dare ask of it, even out of the box.
Conclusion; if you do not have fear of missing out on this sitka & rosewood baby, is it because you wish to pay 2-3 times more for a "made in china" elsewhere? (;
Personally, as to the design and looks it hits everything on my list- it screams "LUTHIER" too.
I was looking for a sloped shoulder small-body of course at 4-5 times the price and my honest advice to you is; look no further.
Ps. theres also a gig-bag and it rocks, too.
