Having recently restored an old Revox A77 back to life,I needed to buy new tape as my plan is to mix my music down to tape.I first bought a reel of RMG LPR 35 to test and set up the machine and use for echo FX etc a while back but needed new tape to mix to,confident the Revox is working.I have found the RTM LP35 to be very good value with a high quality recording capability.
I am unable to tell how this tape works on other tape machines but I am happy enough with my purchase and glad to have Thomann here to help me keep my 40yr old machine alive!
The finest tape of its kind, for sound quality and excellent reliability. And Thomann ! come on, I’m a Brit and still use these guys every time. Give them a go , you won’t be disappointed.
I have spent hours searching ebay for 10inch reels, always with the fear of Sticky shed haunting me. In the end I found these and bought some to see how they go. I record at 7.5 ips so the LPR35 is fine for me. Great recording on my AKAI GX-636. Call me shallow but it is also lovely to have a nice new box for the tape too! I would also recommend looking at the pancakes and fitting to any existing reels you have.
I recall this being qualitative tape, even on the 7" speed. It does not come with leading/pilot tape attached, you need to own and attach that yourself.
