Having previously bought a 30m pro snake CAT5 I decided I needed a shorter cable as well. Decided to go for this CAT6E cable instead as it was a little cheaper than the 15m CAT5, a good start you will be thinking.
When I received the cable I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cable itself was a definite improvement over the CAT5 product. It is more flexible and manageable, as well as doing the job it was designed for perfectly well.
I have a small, 28 square meter studio, so having a big mess of cables in a drum room can get kinda messy.
For a while I was using a big 24 channel snake to get my mics to my interface but I've since changed to the cat6 stuff and it's been a major help in cleaning up my floorspace. The cable itself feels pretty good, I've heard no noise issues and the connections are always seemingly flawless. If you wanna rewire your studio with cat6, this should do you just fine!
Does what it needs to do. Perfect quality to price ratio. Always handy to have in the studio!
Heavy cable, and when using my CAT-XLR boxes, it eliminated any noise; so it's a vey neat way to run cables - without running cables; basically, one cable in place of 4!
