I have experience with a variety of high end speaker systems such as PA & studio monitors so here is my feedback.
Size / Weight
The weight of this speaker is ideal for gigs and smaller foot print than the Mackie showbox. This has a high SPL output for such a small unit.
Music Quality
Streaming music via bluetooth was my first test and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the output. Keep the output to approx. 3/4 and you will keep the speaker safe. I have tried a variety of instruments through this, harp, microphone, synth, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. This will do it all for you if you need a speaker for little room gigs, busking or would be perfect for onstage monitoring. Vocals are particular crystal clear through this.
The guitar FX are pretty great, I haven't tried them much yet but the connectivity on this is outstanding.
Build Quality
As far as looks go this looks super cool, the mix of gold, black and red colour on this product has been well thought out and oozes quality. The build of the product looks good and I think it will last the test of time. The knobs have a nice resistance to them when turning them, not cheap feeling.
Id recommend getting a travel bag for this, I can confirm that it will fit into "Thomann BS1 Bag" perfectly.
Applications
Busking - Absolutely!
Stage monitoring for single instrument or band, this has a great punch for that application.
A portable party speaker, absolutely!
PA speaker - No. If you need a portable PA speaker system you are then going to opt for Bose, EV or Mackie.
Do you need a Bose S1 Pro or Mackie showbox? Well I think this should be sufficient for anyone for the applications mentioned previously and the price is competitive comparing to those products.
I rarely give a full 10/10 but after a week of good solid use I stand over my rating.
