I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in the Pearl PPS-20 Bass Drum Pedal Holder.
It basically works well, seems to be sturdy and holds at least my LP Li'l Ridge Rider Cowbell - which is a medium sized cowbell - reliably in place.
But unfortunately I could not manage to keep the holder from sliding out of position while playing. I think the two spikes that are supposed to keep it where you put it simply are a little bit too short. My hope is that a much thicker carpet might help with this but hadn't have an opportunity to try that out, yet.
In addition I could not prevent the whole thing from lifting up a bit when I fastened my Iron Cobra pedal to the holder.
To sum it up: I have not given up on this thing, yet, but am not using it at the moment. I recommend checking it out first with your pedal and comparing it - for example - to the LP product of similar design - which I wish I had done ;-)
Usual Pearl hardware quality, which is great. I have it connected to a converted slave pedal from a DW5000 double, and it works perfect. Very solid and doesn't move at all. The DW pedal has velcro on the baseplate, which helps.
Solid piece of gear perfect for stopping slippage and movement while playing. really good build quality and would reccomend, particularly for anyone using a kick pedal to hit anything not anchored to the floor.
