I bought this at the Thomann store. I tried all the guitars they had in this 1/2 size (okay, not the really expensive ones) and I really liked the sound of this guitar. I was quite surprised how different they all sounded. I got my daughter hooked on guitar playing this one (my reg. sized guitars are to big for her), and we take it with us on camping trips, holidays and I even took it to work with me. The size is great, it looks very nice, and I got a nice cheap bag to carry it in.
It comes with Saveraz string. I normally only use D'daddario pro arté, but I haven't felt the need to change the original strings yet after 6 months. After the strings were "broken in" I don't even tune it every day.
I got an elbow injury 4 months back and I couldn't play my 4/4 guitar and bc of that I have actually only played this one since. I take it to all my guitar lesson etc. without any problems. My teacher is a very skilled flamingo player (me not at all) and he made it sound amazing, so despite the small size and the limits that always gives, you can actually use this guitar for many styles of music. It gave me a newfound joy of playing and even made my daughter buy her own 3/4 guitar.
Only problem I´ve had was once I had to leave it in a cold car for an hour before playing it, and it took a while to get the right sound back. But I guess any guitar could have problems with big temperature shifts.
I think the price is excellent for this guitar and when I got it I was thinking I wouldn't care much if it was stolen or damaged during travelling, but I don't feel that way at all any more...! I just love that I can pack it in a large suitcase when flying and not having to check in a big hardcase with my 4/4. It has become my trusted little friend.
