GEM OF A GUITAR!

If you're thinking about getting this guitar, a must buy is a new tusq xl nut (the smaller one doesn't fit) and locking tuners. Do that and the guitar is a dream! The neck is absolutely beautiful to play, pickup sounds great, the finish is pretty. Only downside is tuners and nut, which HAVE TO be replaced. The bridge is also not great, but not a necessary replacement. For the total cost of the guitar+nut+tuners, you get a stunning guitar. I LOVE IT!

Also fast delivery by Thomann, as usual, no complaints there.

Feels and sounds amazing, but... a microphonic pickup

Bought this guitar because I own a cream colored Baretta Special from 2016. That one is superb. Indestructable and amazing pickup. No issues.

The newer versions have a maple fretboard, which doesn't really bother me, although I prefer the rosewood on my 2016 KBS.

Two minor issues I noticed upon arrival:
- Volume knob/pot was very loose (had to tighten it)
- Control and trem cavity were FULL of factory dust (vacuumed it)

However, these were two easy fixes. I plug it in and sounds and feels amazing. Then I slightly turn up the volume and the MAJOR issue appears: the humbucker is MICROPHONIC. It howls and squeals and picks up taps on the body and headstock. Which is such a shame. The pickup sounds GREAT and the overall build quality of this guitar is amazing. Rock solid.

I don't get it. The 2016 ones weren't microphonic at all. Where did Kramer go wrong?

However, I'll keep it and see how I can fix/replace the microphonic pickup. The guitar feels way to nice to let go... However, I am quite disappointed. Still a very solid guitar, though.

Great value guitar

Everything with this guitar is top notch for the money.
If you want to fell the 80s Van Halen Vibe, you can't go wrong wiith the Baretta special.
Great body, wizzard like neck and an awesome humbucker. It's all you need to start rocking ou.

Guitare de très bonne facture, lutherie au top, on branche ça sonne
Pour ma part je vais changer les mécaniques, chevalet, sillet et peut être le micro ( Quoi qu'il sonne super bien, il s’agit d’un alnico 5 epiphone)
Très bonne guitare pour le prix, qui mérite quelques modifications pour être super !
