K&K Pure Maccaferri XT

Satisfied with the pickup. Using it on my Altamira m20 with AER amp and the sound is altogether beautiful - very crisp with sharp transients. Only thing that could create a problem on some setups is that it's rather "bassy", there's a ton of low end so low cut and EQ are a necessity.

To sum up, I'd recommend it to any Macaferri/Selmer style guitar player out there since amplifying such guitars is always somewhat problematic and this pickup gives the best neutral sounding and quality tone that I've heard so far.

I have seldom, if ever, been impressed by the sound of an aftermarket pickup solution for an accoustic guitar, at least not for Gypsy Jazz which is what I play. This came recommended by a friend who had bought one so I gave it a try on an Altamira M01F. Does it sound transparent and exactly like the guitar mic'd up? No ~ but it is way better than I expected. It has a perfectly usable tone, especially when used with a preamp and it has not turned the guitar into a feedback machine. I regard this as being a very useable and practical solution for playing live.

je me demandai s’il faudrait le compléter avec un pré-ampli, mais le signal donné est déjà très bon,très fort et très fidèle à l'acoustique pur que je recherche.
je le relie donc directement sur mon ampli AER compact 60 (ou je fais les réglages graves, médiums, aigus, gains...), et c'est parfait et très puissant!
je voulais un système qui ne rehausse pas mon chevalet,(donc l'action) et qui ne s'interpose pas entre les pattes du chevalet, et la table (pour aussi ne pas perdre de transmission sonore), et c'est pour ça que je l'ai choisi: le capteur avec le liège se coinçant au milieu du chevalet, là ou il fait un pont, et ou il y a la place!
l'autre capteur se scotchant prêt du chevalet.
le son se transmet ainsi librement.
seul petite remarque: la notice est en anglais: elle aurait mérité une traduction française!

je recommande vivement ce système!!!
