I have tried to play 7 strings before but never really succeded. It was many years ago so when my son ordered an expensive Schecter, I decided it was time to try again.
Out of the box the guitar looks absolutely great. No cosmetic flaws and a great paint job. Even the setup was acceptable and very playable.
The sound is fat and heavy even playing clean sound, so for me a change of pickups would be the first thing. I had a set of DiMarzio PAF7 but hesitated as I wanted to be sure if I could figure out how to play so many strings. After a couple of days I realized that nothing had changed in the past 15 years since I tried a 7-string the last time so I decided to let it go.
But if you are looking for a 7 string as a backup, this guitar i absolutely capable of giving you everything you need if you like the sound - otherwise a quick change of pickups would lift it to a semipro level.
I dont know how it is possible to produce a guitar like this and sell it for peanuts but I am very greatful that it gives us the possibilities to find good instrument at a very low price
