Purchased to fit a H.B. TE-70RW Deluxe and unfortunately it does not ?
It is not just a case of hole alignment, I was expecting to have to re-locate a few screw holes. But overall it is slightly too short and would not cover the footprint of the original, leaving old holes visible. I'm not sure the neck pick up would fit properly and there are no mount holes - I now realise when looking at the product pics.
This may well fit a real Fender but it had not occurred to me that a H.B. pick guard would not fit a H.B. Tele - I appreciate design differences to overcome copyright issues etc. But maybe Thomann could give some spec's as to which guitars this product will and will not fit.
Shame because the pick guard is nicely made, nicely finished and well priced.
Erm, a HB plate that doesn't fit a HB????? Read the reviews, not the description.

I never read the earlier reviews, my mistake because they're right. I bought it for a HB TE-70RW and the holes don't align with the screws. How crazy is that?
The holes seem to align with my Squier Affinity Tele but that's a double-bucker version and the plate is for a P90 so that won't work either. I think if you have the squier or fendere tele as a P90/ single coil then you might be ok with this but I'm nit sure that I'd out it on a fender as it's too cheap looking a pattern.
The description needs to make this clearer as the obvious is acutally not obvious at all. It doesn't claim it will fit a HB tele but then it doesn't say it won't. I guess it's implied by the name only. My bad for not reading the reviews I guess.
As this is a cheap item it's way too much hassle to send back so I'm adding some felt feet on the back and using it as a weird-shaped coffee coaster for my desk.
