I did a lot of upgrades on my Epiphone EB0. I needed the hole from the existing jack for a knob but also wanted to get the jack out of the way. I picked the Goldo because it is in deeper in the body of the bass. It is now placed in the side of the bass and out of the way. I like this solution and this jack plate is a lot better than the original that goes lose all the time. This jack plate will stay in place due to the screw in the side.

Too bad this thing does not fit the fender jack, it?s a bit of a bummer you have to get it?s corresponding jack, do some soldering, and THEN everything is peachy... the 2 screws make it VERY sturdy, and the jack is real snug in the socket now too...
Telecasters are great guitars but one place where the design is truly poor is the output jack socket. This replacement is great value and much more solid and secure feeling than the stock model. All you need to install it is a simple screwdriver. The jack actually screws into this socket so you don't need a nut and a washer on the outside to keep it tight. This is a great design as the shaking loose of this nut was always the cause of traditional tele sockets getting noisy and loose.
For the price I'd consider this an essential upgrade to any teecaster
