This is a solid hook and will keep your lighting safe along with everyone around it. It's easy to make short cuts where safety is concerned and a large part of the time you may well get away with it. However, it only takes that 1 per cent split second to fall foul of any possible dangerous situation, which then of course leaves you and possibly also the venue completely liable. I personally wouldn't want that on my conscience and neither should you.
This self locking hook is perfect for small to midrange units up to 100kg which is a hell of a load for such a small unit. You would expect to pay more than ?14.30 for such a solid item.
I'm very happy with mine and as my rig expands, I'll be ordering more of these.
These hooks are essential for small light fixtures or anything you want to hang on your truss. Great quality, fast hook/unhook. I will be getting some more definitely, thank you!
Perfect for putting lights on 35mm speaker stands!
BTRmobile 02.06.2014
This clamp is perfect for 35mm circular pipe - like modern speaker stands.
Once attached it feels solid and robust and has no problem holding a small mini LED par can on a vertical speaker stand. Easy to remove and can be attached from the side of the pipe after the speaker is already in place on the top.
The wingnut to hold the light would also be a perfect place to attach the top of a speaker stand scrim, and that corner would then be hidden by the light.
