These felts give you all you'd ever need from a felt! The are soft and can be used even if you have your top hat barely screwed, but at the same time they are not squishy and they don't fall apart.
I like to keep my hat quite tight, and with the previous felts I was using the problem was they were muting the hats a lot after a certain point. These ones can be screwed very tight and yet they retain their flexibility allowing the hats to produce a nice and sustained washy sound.
I definitely recommend those! For that price you get two pairs, and they are awesome. You won't regret it!
Find Gewa felts to be thinner and less dense than others on Thomann, but more durable and less prone to wearing/breaking down into powder.
As a rough guide the grey fibre felts tend to have larger more durable fibres which are easier to put on and off and don't really break down, they only snag and pull to fluff occasionally. The black ones tend to be much stiffer, firm and harder to work, but more brittle/fragile fibres which turn into powder as they crush down with usage.
I bought these to use on auxiliary hi-hat and then the left overs as spares. They are very good felts that do exactly what they say. Cant go wrong with these felts.
