This is the first electric guitar that i am using and i have to say it exceeded my expectations. The guitar looks and plays very nicely. The amp is also very solid for home practice...especially on the clean sounds. The fact that it has input for headphones makes its even better. Overall nice packaging protecting the guitar. Also, the Fender Play 3-month subscription is a nice introduction to someone who hasn't played a guitar. It clearly explains guitar technics as well as theory.
Edit: After six months of daily playing, I have to say only nice things about the guitar. It plays even better now and does not lose tuning easily especially after changing the strings. The only small issue that I my find is the pickup switch which sometimes produces some white noise when switching coils. As said in my earlier review the amp has nice clean tones however the overdrive channel sound for me is unbearable. The sound gets way to loud and does not sound solid at all. However, overall this is still a great beginner guitar bundle.
Maple neck/fretboard poor. Bow in neck. Is wood seasoned?. Will probably buy a fender neck if it fitscti fix. Bought an older squire at half the cost years ago which was way better and superior quality
