Gave my dull sounding strat new life at a very affordable price. I can only recommend it
Shipping from thomann is always awesome and they have great customer service helping you quickly and effective
Edit - I liked the first one I bought, that I have now bought 2 of these !
They are EXCELLENT !
.......
I bought this pre-wired pickguard to install on a Squier Affinity Stratocaster (2024) and it fits perfectly into the body. No routing or cutting of the wood or anything else - It fits perfectly. The quality of the Fender pickups is really good , as is the craftsmanship that went into making all the wiring and soldering perfect. Everything works great.
If you are looking to upgrade your cheap Stratocaster guitar, or even
an original Fender Strat, I suggest to try these pickups.
I rate them 10/10 ! Really good for all types of music.
Thank you for the great delivery Thomann !
I upgraded my Mexican made Fender Stratocaster with this loaded pickguard and now it looks and sounds way better.
However, I bought this because I wanted an upgrade someone fairly unskilled like me could manage. I understood from the information given here at Thomann and at Fender that this was an important selling point.
First, the pickguard did not exactly fit so I had to do some sanding with not quite perfect results.
Second, ignorant as I am I didn't know what to do with the extra ground cable (my guitar only had one and the pickguard offers two) and the information provided by Fender is worse than poor, is non-existent (there is only a schematic). And the video tutorial Fender offers turn out to be more of an advert than a way to address any doubts one might have. In the end I had to spend some time doing extra research I didn't want to do.
It might work out easy for most fender strats but it didn't for mine.
If you aren't experienced and don't want to solder too much this is it. Really easy to install and solder, comes with one page guide which explains it all.
I also own a stratocaster with 69 custom pick-ups and these sound just as good, obviously there are differences no one would notice while listening to you. The clean sound is really good, has a bell to it.
