As with all DW hardware, slightly over priced but very good at the job they were designed for.
VERY heavy stands however. If you're a regular gigging drummer and you don't want some serious weight in your bag/case and use more than 2 stands and you don't have a roadie/tech/helpful band mates I'd definitely suggest the 6000 range. They're ridiculously light and are just as sturdy. If you're a hard hitter and don't think they'll hold up watch Joey Castillo with QOTSA/Trash Talk/Zakk Wylde. He's a very hard hitter and the stands don't budge.
However, if you don't mind some extra weight and want a stand that will never fail you, this is the one.
Memory locks on all the tubes so packing/setting up is a dream. Slide the 3 tubes out from each other and slot them back in at the next show and you get perfect consistency every show.
PRO TIP:
If you have more than one stand of these I'd suggest making all the bottom memory locks the same height. That way you're not faffing getting the right combo of tubes together, all the middle tubes go in and any top tube into them (the top tube determining the height of each stand!) Hope that helps you fellow touring drummers!
