I only got these picks this morning and after just 2 hours of playing I can heartily recommend them.
I was using Flow picks and I felt that I wasn't getting the articulation I wanted on the fast, palm muted gallops when playing metal. Like the notes were slurring together.
These, I feel, do the job way better. The notes sound more individual like they should and they push through the strings better.
It feels like a more comfortable version of John Petrucci's signature Jazz III, and sounds more aggressive than the signature Flow 2.0 thanks to its edge profile. It's amazing for fast and precise lead playing although I find the standard size Flow picks slightly more comfortable for rhythm.
My only complaint is a slightly chipped side, probably a result of breaking it off from the mould.
Although Dunlop made a whole story about the design of this pick to compensate for the price, it's basically a gator grip "small triangle" but a little bit smaller. The shape matches a flow pick but symmetrical on all 3 sides.
It's a bit small for chord playing but it's perfect for single note picking, precise and fast. Also they seem not to get any wear whatsoever, they make the strings sound a bit darker due to the material and thickness, which makes me wish they would make them in 1.1mm as well.
