It's a quad VCA ? like most Doepfer stuff, clean and generic. My one blew a chip after 2 days, I was too lazy to send it back even though it was under warranty and replaced the hot chip myself (actually, I replaced all 4 because I didn't trust the ones that were in there). It's been working fine ever since, but I'm knocking off a couple of stars here because Doepfer Q.C. didn't burn in the unit properly.
The A-135-1 arrived today (swift and secure delivery from Thomann), and I had it up and running within minutes. The VC Mixer is very useful, allowing for various external CV sources to be combined simultaneously, each with their own gain level. This is day one of using the A-135-1 and I can't get enough of it.
I have the latest version of this module in my system and it's brilliant for the price. I'll probably buy another at some point. The only slight drawback is that it's quite big so I'm going to need to buy more cases!
