When I opened the package to examine my new banjo. I was not blown away. The frets were sharp and the nut poorly shaped (as if it was prepared to fit every possible size of a string). And every screw in the banjo needed to be tightened. There is no side dots markers at positions 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15. That said, the neck feels nice and the the neck was perfectly fitted to the rim/body. It seems as a quality instrument with a nice sound. But you pay the price. For some weeks ago i got an Aklot banjolele for 1/5 of the price and Made In China. Here I was actually blown away because it had Remo skin, really good tuners, nice fretwork etc. If it was possible to get a 17th fret tenorbanjo open back from China. I would go that way the next time. I feel I have paid a little more than real value here.
