I needed a decent amount of TRS cables to connect my racked synths to the Ferrofish A32 unit which is acting as an I/O extender to my RME UFX+ via MADI.
Enter this cable. It did exactly what I needed it to do, with the added bonus of not being too long! Jacks are of great quality and pretty sturdy. Sound-wise it's a cable - if it's done well it will sound good, that's all. :)
I can happily recommend these cables to anyone who need to split out things from D-Sub 25 to TRS with ease and security. Note that with this cable you also get additional tightening screws for the D-Sub port. I am not sure if these are exactly the same as those already on the D-Sub, or if they have a different thread size. I did notice that by default these screws aren't working at all with the Ferrofish unit, so perhaps they really are a different thread size (and I should exchange the screws and see how that works). EDIT: that is exactly correct. I had to replace the tightening screws that were on the D-Sub connector already with the ones attached to the package itself. Then everything worked just fine with RME UFX+! Zero problems.
They do the job ! ... excellent quality , excellent product for whoever doesn't want unnecessary meters of cable lugging around ... 4 stars because the bolts ( d-sub connector ) seem to be incompatible with most equipment ... ( another set is coming together but i haven't tried to change it )
I use it for summing my mixes in my home studio. I have Mixdream XP summing amp. Unfortunately, there is no lot of competition for that kind of cable on Thomann. but the Cordial cable its ok.
