I changed my Fender US vintage tremolo for the ABM 5050 V tremolo, and immediately I could hear and feel the difference.
The ABM is so much more articulate in the sound. There is a bit more clarity, but at the same time a lot more body in the sound, and the harmonies are more present.
It is very obvious that the hardened quality steel used in all the parts, from saddles, base plate, tremolo block and the 6 mounting screws really ads more depth to the overall tone.
It is also a very smooth action. And it stays pretty well in tune, partly because there is less friction on the string due to the wide saddle holes and the angle in the holes in the base plate.
If you have a well setup bone or Tusq nut and locking tuners, you should be able to stay well in tune.
The tremolo arm also stays in position because of the adjustment screw under the base plate, which is very easy to attend. And there is no wobble in the the tremolo arm, so all the movement goes directly in the tremolo without any loss.
If you have a floating tremolo setups, you can adjust the screw without any problems.
This is a real quality upgrade in tone and action. You can see the quality in the good german craftsmanship when you unbox the ABM 5050 tremolo. This is build for musicians who expect the best from their instrument.
