This is my first Zultan cymbal. I am a music student and as most students, we are all trying to cost cut. I wanted a dark ride that had enough volume for any style but a dark, dry and subtle tone. i looked into the dryer cymbals of the 'competition' but they are so expensive. This is the perfect alternative. This ride is beautiful. Rich, dark but versatile. The bow and bell are married sonic-ly . Massive dark crash too, maybe not for every ones taste but exactly what i wanted. do not let the "Jazz" title fool you as this cymbal can be used for most things. The jazz part means it is just a slightly thinner and darker version of the normal Zultan 22 Raw Ride.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of the ride being similar to the video Thomann provide. Mine is a tad darker in pitch but the 'manor' of the cymbal was the same as the video portrayed. When a cymbal is hand hammered it is hard to find an accurate representation of it.
If Zultan keep the quality high and the prices fair, they will be huge. Highly Satisfied!
