Could be a bit more flexible, but it's perfectly fine otherwise

I have a Yamaha electric drumkit in the DTX series (can't tell for which one without checking the manual) and I wanted to place more pieces in the frame. The RCL500 clamps were not exactly the same model of clamps that came with the original kit but seeing as the gap had the same width I gave it a try.
They fit the width of the frame perfectly. The only reason my score isn't higher is that, even with the adaptor screw fully loose, it does take some twisting and turning and pushing before you get the clamp to the desired height or length along the frame. But other than that, it does quite well with my drumkit.
I bought this to expand my options on my electric kit.
It mounts securely to the old style Yamaha racks from their electric kits (the kind with the round tubing).
The quality of the mount is good, the plastic isn't as fragile as some competing options, which means you can really tighten it without worrying about it cracking.
Be aware that Yamaha has made a few versions of these. This is the newer (much better) version with the plastic insert which means you can use thinner cymbal arms as well as slightly thicker ones also. I'd recommend checking compatibility with your cymbal arm before buying.
Overall I'd recommend it because it does everything I need it to. I have several of these clamps and have yet to have one fail.
