I had the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus for a few years and was extremely happy with it but I needed something smaller to power my currently downsized pedalboard. Based on my positive experience with Voodoo Lab, I decided to buy the ISO5. And I'm really glad I did! It is very well made, fairly light and has a small footprint. The quality is of the same high standard as the Pedal Power 2 Plus, and I like the fact that it still being made in the USA. It shows that unlike many other companies, Voodoo Lab doesn't want to sacrifice the quality for the sake of lowering the price.
I use few pedals , and even at bypass they used to buzz and hum. Specially driving a high gain amp was a nightmare. Not with this. Not over powering or under powering. great build quality too, regulated output. VERY reliable and compact.
I bought this with a pedal train 1. and the mounting brackets are supplied with the pedal train for this power supply 9v 12v & 18v outs.great product.zero noise.
If you're gigging and don't need a whole array of pedals, just 4-5 of your faves, buy this. The usual VL quality is here, and the range of different power outputs is great. It's all about options. The 18v out is fantastic for running either a super fancy compressor or overdrive with lots of extra headroom. Plus it's tiny and won't take up space.
As an acoustic player my board has a bizarre range of pedals on it that require awkward power voltages, so finding a power supply that accommodates for all those needs was tricky. Until i found this baby. Voodoo lab have always been great for power supply's and this is no different from the rest. Quality power every time, with literally no bother whats ever. It also is great when combined with a pedaltrain board, as they are designed to a similar spec to their power supply, so it fits perfectly. Over all id say this power supply is an excellent purchase.
Bought this a few monts back and use it every day since then,no noise or whatsoever, working properly and consistently even at places with bad electrical system.Very glad with.I wish it to has one more 9 volt line, but it is good like this,as well.It is suitable for not so big pedal bords-imo,because cables are not very long. The case is hard as hell.Definitely recomend it.
I bought it due to a sort of ground-noise issue I had and I was suspicious of the inexpensive power supply I was using at the time, and I was right, this solved everything. I've got absolutely no noise now. Apart from that, it never gets overheated. Totally recommendable.
I have Markbass Octaver, Darkglass B3K Overdrive, MXR Bass Env. Filter and Origin Effects Cali76 Comp pedals. It supplies just the correct power with isolated and filtered outputs. I tried more than five power supplies, but I should've bought this years ago.
