I use this to power up my Line6 HX Stomp so that I don't have to use the PSU adapter that came with the Stomp.
I thought that it will create a little noise or hiss on my signal chain but it doesn't, of course it also helps if the Power supply is isolated and have enough current per slot.
Value for money and the build quality is really good.
This current adapter from Voodoo Labs works perfectly to power my current hungry digital effects. I use it to bridge two 450mA 9v outputs from my Powerplant supply. No noise, and reliable performance from a brand I really trust when it comes to pedalboard power.
I use two of these adapters very handy. You need to know how much Ma the pedal needs.
I use the following outputs on my voodoo labs pedal power: output 5/6 with Current Doubler Adapter to combined to power Tc Electronics flashback (300Ma needed)
Output 7/8 combined using the Current Doubler Adapter to power Palmer amp switcher (130 Ma needed)
The cable clips onto the other cable or outlet of my pedal power securely, so no danger of it falling out. I haven't had any problems using them. I would recommend them but do sus out how much Ma you will need, usually written on pedal or in their manual. I contacted voodoo labs for advice and they were very helpful and fast to respond. Would be cool if they did them in different colours so you could easily see which outlet of your power supply it was in. I recommend this cable.
Great solution for those massive pedals that put your power brick to the test. Works like a charm! Do not mistake this cable for the voltage doubler though, or you'll be in trouble! :)
After much faffing around I figured out I needed one of these to power my Line 6 HXFX with my Fender Engine Room. The wall wart on the HXFX is rated at 3A but after researching a bit I learned that the HXFX is drawing about 1.1Amp and people were having varying degrees of success with their various power blocks(Cioks 7 appears to be a winner as well as Enginer Room). The Engine Room outputs are rated at 500mA and combined apppear to hit the magic 1.1 GIGAWATTS (1.1 Amp ;-) ) of Electricity to power the flux capacity, suffice to say ... this did the job.
