Powerful analogue sound extremely identical with some of hardware synths. Classic view of main panel looks great, but the tweaks panel is getting you inside the body and soul of the Repro synth. So useful sequencer with 2 patterns that can be set up to 32 steps each. It's making variety of the melodic sounds and bass lines creation so far as you can imagine. Internal effects are raw and unique. Repro supports NKS format and can be controlled by NI Komplete Kontrol hardware. Product is perfect.
This is probably the best simulation for hardware synth available on the market. Sound is huge (fat, thick etc.). This synth does not require any additional processing and it sounds good from scratch, even single waveforms sound good. It's a dream synth for anyone who is looking for 'that retro sound' of older synths. I'm using it mostly for Synthwave/Retro music and I think that it's the best place for it. But it can also produce modern sound to.
The only one con is CPU consumption but it's the price for quality in the sound so it's not fault of plugin itself.
it's great synth for anyone who wants to have powerful retro sound especially that it comes with great presets. I would put sound designers on second place as it's quite limited synth faithful to original Prophet.
I can say without a single doubt that Repro (both 1 and 5 respectively) are some of the most analog-sounding plug-in synths available right now. They're very close to the original hardware they're trying to emulate in my opinion and also quite easy to use.
u-he as a company in general seem to be particularly great at providing modern-feeling software, while also caring about reproducing the analog aspects with precision.
I can recommend this to anyone who is familiar with the original hardware and wants to have a very close reproduction of it ITB.
