After about a week of use, I've had some time to use this pedal in different contexts ranging from playing through a small solid-state practice amp at home to a 40-watt tube combo to a 50-watt head & 2x15 inch cabinet in a band context. I LOVE the way you can set both sides of the pedal as a single-coil-guitar fattener. Depending on the amp I use, I choose either the right or the left side as an always-on tone enhancer near the beginning of my pedalboard (after my tuner and auto-wah pedal). The boost runs into my Thorpyfx Peacekeeper and this combination is golden; clear note definition, a wide range of tonal options and enough gain on tap. There is practically no hiss from the pedal, and it is built to last a lifetime. My only two (small) gripes are the rather small enclosure in combination with the dual-footswitch layout and the fact there's too much boost on tap. Other than that, outstanding work by ThorpyFX - their pedals are a cut above the rest!

I was interested in the Dane, but already have so many overdrives that I like... This seemed like the answer.
And boy did it deliver. I bought this for the Dane boost, which is everything I hoped it will be and more. It sounds absolutely fantastic straight in, and works great with every other effect I have when stacked, from fuzz faces to blues breakers to Rat - type pedals. Just pure gold. I would have been over the moon just with that side.
But the real surprise was the Germanium side. This thing creates fire like an old god from Mythical times.
It boosts just like the Dane side, but adds some grittiness and good old fashioned power to the proceedings.
Then it's time for stacking both sides together, and it gets literally biblical - righteous fury, holy wrath and glorious salvation rolled into one (yes I am aware I am mixing theologies - but that is how good this pedals is - no one religion is enough to describe it...)
This has become my favorite pedal the moment I switched it on, Thorpy made an (other) absolute masterpiece.
