The trumpet I received was out of tune

I was excited to receive this pocket trumpet.

I tried it and it was really out of tune and impossible to play with. I checked it with my trumpet teacher (who was also excited to try it) and he told me that it was a "piece of c..." and that he tried in the past pocket trumpets that were tuned.

Also the 3rd valve had a problem (you could move it but it required a lot of force to do it, despite enough oiling).

So I returned the instrument for an exchange to Thomann and after a week they told me that the instrument is "within specifications"...

So, maybe try another model...

Love this trumpet. I am not a great player, this is the first trumpet I've had since school (20 years ago) in fact I got this to practice and was concerned it might be of lower quality. To me it seems a really good quality even without considering the price. I'd say if like me you fancy re-learning to play without having to worry about a big investment but still get a good sound quickly you won't be disappointed. Bear in mind I'm a novice.

So, in general, the trumpet is ok, looks very good. But there are quite a few problems. 3rd valve was sticky no matter what...low notes were extremely out of tune... the paint job is poor and very easy to scratch. Other than that, this instrument is perfect for travelling and the case is superb.

I thought it would be bigger but the size is perfect , the only problem now is I’m just noticing it’s out of tune, it’s not Bflat, it’s a B trumpet ,i can still work with it though but you guys should correct it for others
