The stylus pick is an excellent tool for addressing the problem of keeping a consistent picking depth, important for developing a smooth fluid picking. I still haven’t quite cracked it myself, but I find that my picking has significantly improved.
Maybe applying too much force is part of my problem, but they do seem to wear down quickly and since there isn’t much tip to begin with, they don’t last very long. I wish they would make them in a more durable material, like carbon or, since there is no flex in them, even metal.
