Extremely thin yet very sturdy and with very nice sound quality, I used it to make a patchbay and make all the connections for my studio rack gear and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
I think I might even use it to rewire my guitars!
Bought it for extension. It,s very sturdy and well made!
The reviews were good and so i bought it, and now i can tell it's a good product! Thin and almost not visible. For my usage is just perfect. Recommend it :)
For in-rack and in-somponent wiring where flexibility is needed
Anonym 31.12.2014
Good cable for in-rack wiring between components, and inside components in DIY projects.
This cable is spiral shielded so offers a degree of flexibility. In uses where such winding and unwinding in unnecessary, I?d opt for the Sommer Cable SC Isopod SO-F22 which is foil shielded and has ?memory.?
This cable is thin and flexible. Skhield and drain ar ok to work with. copper cores are a bit thin so be careful when peeling of the jacket. The outer rubber jacket is a bit coarse. Minus one quality star for this. I used this to make balanced headphone adapters. With some shrinktube added, two of these fit perfectly into the strain relief of a Neutrik XLR4 connector.
If you're live player and you're not using wireless IEM, you want to have a cable that distracts your movement as less as possible. And that's where smaller diameter cables come handy, especially if they are sturdy and flexible like Cicada.
I'm using one 4m piece for last 2 years and after more than 60 shows it still works like it's day one.
I'm ordering this once again, just in case I need to create more of these IEM cables.
