It takes up about the same space as a 3- or 5-way strat switch, and i spent the same time installing it that i would have installing two new pickups.
You can only get them in 250k and 500k versions with the same shaft length.
And No push-pull or no stacked pots.
But that is the only negatives i can find about this product. And most of them are "theoretical" and wont be an issue for most people anyway.
The pot itself is super high quality and sounds good in action. No scratching out of the box, and no danger of damaging it while soldering, since it has the "breakout circuit board".
The circuit board is also sturdy with a good thickness, and the screw-sockets for pickup wire mounting are very reliable.
I currently have this system in two guitars, and havnet had any issues with loose wires while playing or broken sockets when doing pickup changes/maintenance.
Other than the short installation time i now have on new pickups, i also realized that i didn't have to cut and loose pickup wire every time i wanted to try something new. It feels really good removing a pickup and having the wires in mint condition afterwards.
So if you like to experiment with different pickups once in a while, i can only recommend that you spent the short time required installing this "system".
