Originally i was a bit shocked at the cost of the Royer shockmount. howeverm considering the quality of the microphone and the understanding of limiting low resonant frequencies...it seems to make sense.
Be assured, this is a seriously well engineered piece of equipment and holds the mic safely in place.
I recorded a choir before the SS1 arrived in the post and i did notice the amount of low interference from the basic shure mic clip i had used and secured with tape.
Thomann anyway had the powest price generally available so overall it's a big recommendation for the product and for thomann
This is the perfect Microphone Shock Mount to go with any of your Royer Labs Ribbon Mics, will fit any type except for the SF-24 (which has its own specific Shock Mount). Built like a tank and will provide your Ribbon Mic with the protection it needs for both Studio and Live applications.
If you have a Royer microphone, you should have one of these. Some would say it’s expensive but, if you want the best, you have to pay for it. And, if you have a Royer microphone then, you should have one of these. No question.
