I bought these to try out as an affordable option compared to the big name stick brands and have to say I’m pleasantly surprised.
I’ve tried a number of sticks from Rohema (laquer and non-lacquer) and for me (I play a lot) the huge plus is that they seem to last a much longer time than the other makes (Pro Mark, Zildjian, Vic Firth)
Try them
This stick is my personal favourite. It is the stick with the ideal balance - not at the front like Vater, nor at the back like Vic Firth. The length and the thickness are just ideal for my hands. I also find Hickory to be the best wood for the sticks, after having tried the whole Rohema range, and a few others. The vibrations are simply not felt in the knuckles and I can play free.
The natural version tends to stick to the hands a bit better than the lacquered one.
I just wish they make the plastic tip option.
These sticks were recommended to me by a Thomann drums customer service agent and they turned out to be better than I expected. The grip on the sticks is good due to the lacquer finish and the weight of the sticks is optimal. For less than £10, these are definitely worth it.
