I used to draw crude numbers were I could fit them on my cables, to try and get some semblance of order in the mess that easily arise when recording many sources at once. Found this while searching for something better and decided to try it out.
Now all my cables are color-coded by length, and the small "label-area" on the ring allows me to have one clear place where the cable number can be written.
Have made setup before recording significantly easier, highly recommended.
this xcr ring by neutrik is a very handy piece of equipment to own. the red colour means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a box of cables. being neutrik also means good quality and these also seem to fit the newer xlr plugs.
As it is Neutrik, it also means good quality. This is an XCR ring by Neutrik and it is a very handy piece of equipment to own. The colour coding system means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a bag of cables.
We use a lot of multicores and I'm sick of taping the connectors and writing with a marker the number of the cable, thus leaving the connector all glued up because the paper glued tape does not hold forever.
They could make this product better if Neutrik would write numbers on them.
