This Connector has the same cable gripping system as other Neutrik XLRs and Jacks!
Fer.ta.h 12.12.2019
What I found the most impressive is the fact that this Rean connector has the same cable gripping system as other Neutrik plugs. With it, there is no way that a solder point can get loose due to a cable moving around. That was the reason I bought these connectors.
Another plus is that the connector is gold plated which makes it corrosion resistant.
The only downside of it is that it is quite long and chunky, so if you don't have too much space around the female part of the connection, you should maybe search for other solutions.
I have given my full review of this product in the Neutrik NYS 373-2 listing. To summarise in brief...
...for any shoppers: This is a great product as one would expect. The title of the article is a little misleading though as it is a 'REAN by Neutrik' connector. What's the difference? As fas as I'm aware REAN is made in China while Neutrik is made in Lichtenstein, hence the price competitiveness of these particular products.
Don't let this be a deterrent though, because the REAN products are of equally high quality as the Neutriks and I have never had any problems with any of the products within the REAN range.
