Amazingly clean booster + handy buffer all in one pedal

I bought the MC-401 for my Bass pedal board, as I usually play clean bass sound and sometime add some colours i needed a very clean booster but... I was also looking for a buffer .. this pedal gave me all that i was looking in a sturdy well made pedal case. I run this pedal at the very end of my pedal board chain.... The sound in the output is very clean, when in true bypass its own buffer is very handy with long cable run (you can hear the difference bypassing this pedal).

The only two things I would change in this pedal (but only for personal feel) is the foot-switch which is kind of too hard and you have to step on on it fully to turn on the unit.. some people like to go hard on top and the light is too bright for my eyes (I`ve placed a white tape on top so I can still see the operation light)

Overall this booster is the cleanest I ever owned and I can enhance my runs or solos without any lost or change in my original Bass sound

I had a guitar built by Suhr that has coil splitting and wanted something to boost the signal of the single coil option to match the output of the humbuckers...without any (or apparently no) coloration of sound. It works very well. Happy with it.

This pedal is a very compact and neat piece of kit. The quality of the build is tremendous, Bulletproof! The presentation of the pedal is very appealing. As its a "booster" pedal the functions are few, but it does its job to he highest standard. It has a "True Bypass" and when the "boost" is engaged it keeps that true tone tho whole way up. Amazing pedal and highly recomended for every guitarists rig, acoustic or electric.
