MXR Dyna comp 1976

I use this with a US strat into a Rivera tube amp. My best recommendation is this: since I bought it, it has always been on on my pedalboard, it simply brings out the best tone of my strat, and helps tidy up the overall sound. It also sounds great running it into a distortion pedal (Rat 2), or after fuzz (although the latter can easily become quite noisy) My one criticism is that it doesn't have a lot of options for shaping its sound, it kinda has its signature sound, and that's it. Luckily that is a great sound. The included oversized rubber knobs are a nice addition, and it's nice that the pedal is so small and compact. I find that If the other pedals on your board are a bit noisy, this will amplify that as well, so it's important to pair it with quality pedals and cables. Take my review with a grain of salt, as I don't have a lot of experience using compressors, so I can't compare it to other offers, but it has certainly sold me on using compressors, and after trying this I'll definately always have a compressor on my board!
