Get mounted for an action packed review. It was absolutely amazing this thing fit the DP48 as if it was destined to. I might even say it was as if it was designed to. When I was asked by Thomann to write a review I had to “brace” myself. Kind of like this thing does to a microphone stand. To my surprise if I didn’t want to clamp it to a mic stand there was a thread in the mount that screwed right into the top of a mic stand. Is it overpriced from music group? Well yea. Does it include a microphone stand? No that wouldn’t fit in that tiny box. Does it do it’s job yea. Labor cost more these days, so I guess you are paying for this little thing to hold the DP48 and your cans (headphones) for quite a while. At least if the pot metal breaks it won’t break the bank with Thomann’s great prices to get another one. I venture to say this might be the best mount for the Midas DP48’s I’ve ever used.
I cant say much about a metal mount, but it gets the job done.
It is sturdy, holds the DP48 firmly and mounting it in a microphone stand is a joke (ridiculously easy).
Overall a very nice product.
The only thing i would love is 2-3 cm more space between the microphone stand and the dp 48 (in the sliding part because ethercon connectors are quite long).
The Midas DP48 is a really good IEM mixer for musicians. The mounting adaptor is solid and allows different mounting positions on a mic stand. having two handles for cables for cable-bound IEMs stops them from getting trodden on when the musician takes them off. Attention to detail is something I like about Midas!
