I bought it for my newborn baby just before he was born, since I wanted to buy some fun "musical" toys for him.. He is just a few weeks old but I think he likes it. I have hanged it up in the hallway of my apartment and every time I hold him and pass it I draw my hand on it to make the sound and every time my baby boy makes a quick jumping move and turn hes head towards it and has a very suprized and fascinated look on his face in awwh.. So I think he likes it, its like a distraction. A signature sound for him to memorize and recognize from our home. Sometimes when he cries a lot I touch it and then he stops crying for a few seconds as he gets a bit distracted. If lucky he might forget he was crying... hehe Sometimes I take his little hand and touch the chimes with his hand so it is as if he is making the sound, but I think he is to small still to understand he is doing it.
The ladies of our drum circle were delighted with the Nino Nino 600 Chimes and immediately started to play with their new jingles as they affectionately call them. We use them in our soundscapes. They finish off a lovely visit to the rainforest.
