If you - as me - are tired of having a standard cabinet on stage that only can be heard by your knees and the audience, you might have considered an angled cab. I have three HB V30 cabs, two with one 12" and one with two 12". The big one sounds really nice, the two small ones are ok.
So i was hoping that this Marshall could keep up with HB 2x12 in terms of sound quality.
But.... no... After the break in period of the speakers it still sounds screamish except using ultra clean sounds. As soon as distorted sounds kick in, i get a sound reminding me of someone throwing up after a long night at the bar. The smooth distorted sounds of the HB V30's is not possible with this speaker. Tele type single coil guitars can scare you away from using overdrive and distortion as it feels like the sound is coming out in squares, not in ear-friendly sinus curves.
On the other hand guitarist who orefer death and trash metal might fall for the extreme treble tones and the rough resolution.
For me i have decided only to use it at home with the clean sounds.
One day i might change the speakers to V30's and hope it will sound close to the HB 2x12 V30 cab.
