Me: I've been playing bass >20 years on recordings and regular live shows.
I had high expectations because of online reviews. Getting this bass in my hands did not dissapoint. There are no finish flaws. The neck and string spacing is extremely comfortable. The setup was very good, almost straight neck and about 2mm action at the 12th fret. No issues with buzzy notes.
It sounds like a passive jazz bass should (slightly clearer than my MIM Fender). I've not taken the panel off but to my ears there appears to be proper sheilding and grounding in place, certainly a low noise level in my DAW too. I gigged this last week and the signal output was relatively noise free and articulate, with both pickups at 100% it's basically silent. I've owned more expensive basses and this feels more like those £950+ models. The bridge and tuners are sturdy and I love the sound of these pickups. It comes well packaged with both allen keys. Bravo Sire.
