This is the center piece of my small but growing modular; you can either control 4 events (by columns, which are assigned to both gate CV and continuous CV) or change 3 values across 4 constant levels (by rows), or a combination thereof. The little trimmer pot lets you adjust to your own skin resistance, to achieve more gradual transients.
It's a very creative module overall, and lots of fun.
The hardware feels solid overall: knobs and jacks are high quality.
This is nice module. It enables you more contol over your patch or turn different "layers" of your patch on and off.
You can use 4 plates to control 4 different CV parameters. You have 4 steps of 3 parameters as well and 1 gate output per step. So you can send 3 different constant voltages per 4 steps. Normaly you engage step with touching the plate. But when you add Brains to it, you can have 4 step sequencer or more by changing the direction or restarting the pattern. Ultimately you can use all touch plates separately from clocked stages that means even more control.
Built quality is very nice. I do not have problem with touch plates even with dry skin. You can always adjust sensitivity.
Cons: Only problem with this unit is, when you have outlet or case power supply with ground issue, the touch plates does not react unless you hold the screw on the face plate or case rails.
