Sounds awesome! Even with a 1meg volume pot it's still a well balanced pickup with great bass and mids, while still, somehow, sounding like a Tele. I paired this with a Regal neck pickup and my cheap Tele instantly became my number 1 guitar.
I replaced the bridge pickup in my SH American Professional Telecaster because I wanted something with more 'body' and not just pure treble. The J-Street is even better than I imagined. It brings so much depth to the sound but don't worry, it still 100% sounds like a Telecaster. It blends much better with the neck humbucker than the V-Mod did. I'm using my Tele primarily as a clean Jazz guitar, which the J-Street is outstanding for, but it also excels with anything from low to high gain.
I 've installed this pickup in my Harley Benton TE-52. Very well balanced pickup, highs are round but strong, nice mids and great bass response. This is not your seymour duncan or dimarzio level, it is level up pickup. You've got what you paid for. Money well spent. Highly recommended! Excellent to my taste (25 years with guitar in my hand)
Tried many different pickups on my tele. My issues were to do with too bright or too twangy pickups and could handle various stages of gain without playing around with tone or volume knobs. This one was the spot on. Enough of traditional tele sound, but handles gain perfectly and makes my tele truly most versatile guitar. Clarity, pick sensitivity is heavenly. Paired it with Royal T neck and now all other guitars just can’t get there and tele is the one.
