I put this on an early 70s black stratocaster with maple neck. It matches very well with the black outside and raw leather backside. I like that it is more narrow than a normal strap. It really looks amazing. The only thing I could improve would be to add some length. I am 180cm and I have it in the last hole. The guitar sits as high as I am willing to have it. On the Stratocaster the center of the guitar rests just between my belly button and belt buckle. I usually like to keep it centered around belt buckle level. It is ok but if it were any shorter I would return it. So if you are tall or like a guitar around your knees beware.
Also, the strap pin holes are so tight that it's difficult to get on and off but that also means I do not need locks or blocks.
Use :
- For my fender strat guitar
- I'm 1m94 tall (yes it has its importance)
Pros :
- The leather seems ok to me. Without saying it's an very high quality.
- Looks good, elegant style to my opinion.
Cons :
- Attaches on both end are very basic, so does not fit a very shaky playing.
- It is too long in my opinion. I'm tall so I should not have this kind of issue I think. The shorter configuration (see product photo) is already to long to have an ergonomic positioning and prevent from bending too much the wrist. You can shorten it more by passing the thiner part in all the holes (braiding in a sense) and pulling the knot down. Doing so I found a configuration that suits me well.
Very good quality strap, looks very nicely, and it's very sturdy, would recommend to anyone. I use it on my electric guitar, and there's no need for strap lock even. It's great overall.
