Received the guitar yesterday. After initial inspection of fit and finish (which is very nice apart from a small fracture on the edge of one of the tone knobs), I plugged it into my amp... No sound from the neck pick up!!! The 3-way toggle switch was a little loose and didn't work! Could only activate the bridge pick-up. Decided to put the guitar back in the box and return it to Thomann. I am utterly disappointed with the QC on the last two Sire guitars, I have received from Thomann. I have two other Sire guitars (H7 Black and L7v TB), that had no issues to mention. I know, you can order guitars from Thomann and have a complete setup made for extra cost. You can even order a Plek treatment. BUT, I would at least expect that a simple inspection of the electronics would be standard and included in the standard price! Or should one be prepared to pay extra for your local guitar tech to bring the instrument to acceptable working order? I will be looking at other brands in future.
